not exactly your obvious indian post, however in Vogue Italia 2004 this editorial caused gasps. The faces to me are inspired by Hindu Gods and Asian wood work with a twist of venetian masquerade. And an some what alien touch as well as bohemian seductive British late 18th century setting, not to mention a bit of tribalness i seriously could go on.
this is not what i expected with the title. But I see the inspiration with the elaborate embroidery and rich colors
